Elizabeth Villalovos, School Psychologist

Ms. Villalovos
Elizabeth “Liz” Villalovos (Ms. V) has been a full-time school psychologist since 2006. Liz has her bachelor’s degree in psychology, master’s degree in educational psychology, educational specialist degree, and credential in school psychology. She is a Nationally Certified School Psychologist (NCSP), and has been a member of the National Association of School Psychologists (NASP) and California Association of School Psychologists (CASP) since 2006. Most of her career was spent in Northern California, but she relocated to San Diego in 2016 to be closer to family. In addition to her work in school districts, she became a Licensed Educational Psychologist (LEP) through the Board of Behavioral Sciences for the state of California in 2016. As a school psychologist for Del Mar Union School District, her job includes consultation and collaboration with staff and families to support student needs, assessment for special education services, 504 plan coordinator, and individual and group counseling services. Students are typically referred to her through the Student Study Team (SST) process which can be initiated by student’s teachers.
Liz lives in San Diego with her daughter, and dog. In her free time, she enjoys camping, going to the beach, traveling, cooking, and spending time with her family. She is thrilled and honored to be part of the Sage Canyon family working with amazing students, families and staff!
